Month 23

Just a quick update on my latest TSW progress on month 23.

It's been okay. Not perfect, but I'm happy in general. I wore full make-up several times in September and I think that was a bit too early. I got dry red patches on my face and that reminded me of the restart of TSW. After I stopped using base make-up and a soap on my face, luckily it's calming down now.

My face looks a bit more unstable and pigmented in reality than this picture.
With some base make-up on, you can see fine wrinkles especially when I smile.
My neck is fine.

Next month is going to mark my 2 years anniversary of my latest TSW.

I hope everyone is seeing some steady progress.  xxx

    1. Hello Lisa, thank you for your comment! That made me think that I should put together all progress pics of the last 2 years next month. Sorry to hear that you're at a tough stage of TSW. Do you take progress pics of yourself? If not, I would recommend that as it's easier to spot improvements :) Hope you feel better soon. X

    2. HI TOMMY
yes i have been taking some progress pictures but unfortunately it is progress that is gettign worse by the month
i had a question about moisturiser withdrawal since i am in the midst of it.
when you skin got scaley, was it like weird scaley? it seems like mine dont want to really shed and its like lumpy scales. not like flate flakes. its like yellow tinged to. did you get this? will skin shed? i am having a hard time of it not shedding and it looks really really bad.

    3. Hello Lisa:) There was a point when my skin wasn't really shedding or shedding very slowly. I had some yellow bits as well and I thought it was tiny amount of ooze. My shedding started properly after raw wounds and cracks calmed down but there wasn't a clear line when shedding started. It has been a slow, gradual process for me. Hope this helps. x

    4. Thanks tommy.
I now developed your fear of going out in public.
My face is so bad. Shedding is almost non existent. The scales just pile up abd looks lumpy.
I hope i am going in thr right direction. I feel so lost. But you are proof it works. How did you deal with the itching on.the face without scratching it?

    5. Hi Lisa, I completely relate to you. I still sometimes feel awkward being in public too. I don't hold scratches when my skin feels itchy. I found it impossible! My skin is still healing gradually. I wish you all the best with your recovery darling! xxx

  5. You are getting there and two years is a big accomplishment! How are you doing without any moisturizer? I'm observing this theory but not sure if it slows it down at all but if people like it better, I'm all for whatever they decide! xx ~Joey~

    1. Hello Joey, Thank you for your comment. Hope you're doing well. I just marked my 2 years anniversary last month and think I've been fine without moisturisers. I'm still carefully observing the progress though as we never know what affects which stage of withdrawal. All I can do is to listen to what TSW doctors around the world say and see if it works... Wishing you all the best xx

    2. Hey Tommy, Joey,

I'm at 18 month steroid free, and not quite a month moisturizer free. Within 3 days of stopping moisturizers my face completely quit oozing! Which was a relief, because it was oozing a lot. I'm still itchy, red, and dry (flaking like crazy), but it looks like moisturizers are hopefully in the past for me. They always made my face more red but I kept using them even though they didn't work, and I would get itchy after application (most times). I've seen people with THE EXACT SAME RESULTS! It may be worth a try if you don't mind hell again for a week ;-)
