Month 20

Just a quick update on my progress.

My skin has been good. No new flare-ups. Less dry patches. My wrists and arms are all clear too.
My pigmented skin is taking its own time to heal, although now I'm not too sure exactly what color my skin used to be...? Can you remember how your skin exactly looked before TSW? I mean, 18 months was a long time...

I feel like I'm 90% healed. TSW doesn't interfere with my life any longer. I even wore a full-makeup yesterday and didn't irritate my skin. However, I still get itchness, eye mucus, wrinkles and pink patches so there is still room for recovery.

Okay, enough of my progress report.

Have you read Dr. Fukaya's latest blog post about eye diseases that may happen during TSW? If not, check it out as I think it's good info to know.
(He recommends to regularly see an eye doctor, I wonder if this is possible in the UK with our GP system and in the USA without costing a fortune?)

I noticed that not enough information is going around about complications during TSW. There are some commonly known diseases which can happen during TSW: especially cataract and eczema herpeticum.  Dr. Fukaya explains cataract in his blog so that's there. I had eczema herpeticum in 2008, so hopefully I'll write about my experience soon.

Have a nice healing summer everyone x

    1. Thank you Lisa, well it took me 18 months to get this far and I'm still not completely healed. I hope it takes you shorter to heal than me though sweetie.
I used to get some pimples on my arms and wrist. My face was not too pimply but all raw, dry, flaky and terrible!

I'm still hunting for a good make-up cleansers. I'm currently using Dr.Bronner soap and I like it. But as a make-up remover, I need to double-wash and my skin feels really dry afterwards. I got some Lavera liquid foundation, lipsticks and eye shadow last week and they are working really well for me. I did my test run to make sure I won't start scratching during my friend's wedding! I hope your skin calms down soon and you have a good time at the wedding brave girl! x
