In this post, I would like to share Dr. Fukaya's blog post about his Clofibrate clinical trial.
Dr. Fukaya confirms that Clofibrate can reduce degree of severity in steroid withdrawal.
Here is some translated extracts from his post.

The group which used Clofibrate ointment finds more positive effects on their skins.
I've made an interim report from 12 cases on Clofibrate clinical trial. Among 12 cases, 6 of them - 4 males and 2 females with an average age of 31.5 - used white vaseline, while the other 6 - 3 males and 3 females with an average age of 31.8 - used Clofibrate ointment.I graded their affected skin conditions based on the Japanese Dermatology Academy Atopic Eczema Severity Classification. I can now see that there is a significant decrease in severity in the group who used Clofibrat ointment.
The following graph is the results of the patients' subjective views on their skin conditions.
Patient VAS is based on the responses from the patients rating their skin conditions from 0 to 100. 0 means skin is clear and 100 is at the worst condition. It also shows that the group which used Clofibrate ointment finds more positive effects on their skins.
I have also confirmed there was no side effects in the use of Clofibrate.
